New handler distribution for southern England

Kirkland UK has been appointed official Weidemann distributor for the South of England, adding the German manufacturer’s compact handling equipment to its growing specialist machinery portfolio.

The appointment strengthens Kirkland’s position in the horticultural, viticultural and wider agricultural machinery markets, where the company already supplies equipment aimed at specialist crop and farm applications.

The Weidemann franchise covers the manufacturer’s range of articulated wheel loaders, telescopic wheel loaders, telehandlers and attachments.

Kirkland says the machines complement its existing portfolio and are particularly suited to fruit growers and vineyards, where compact dimensions, visibility and manoeuvrability are important when working between rows and around buildings.

The dealer will supply the complete Weidemann range and provide sales support, on-site demonstrations, genuine parts and servicing through its existing service operation.

Scott Worsley, managing director of Kirkland UK, said the Weidemann range was a good fit with the company’s customer base and would provide compact handling equipment for fruit growers, vineyard managers and farmers.

The machines are also intended for more general farm applications, including handling harvest bins, pallets, bales and other materials.

Kirkland has also highlighted its ability to demonstrate machines on customer sites, allowing equipment and attachments to be matched to individual operating requirements.

The appointment is the latest addition to Kirkland’s expanding machinery portfolio. The company recently added Deutz-Fahr specialist tractors and Vitibot autonomous vineyard machinery to its range.

Kirkland UK is based at Sutton Valence, Maidstone, Kent, and will support Weidemann customers across its South of England territory.
