AGCO endorses cancellation of Agritechnica 2022
- The German Agricultural Society (DLG) has cancelled the Agritechnica 2022 due to the ongoing Corona pandemic
- The world’s leading trade fair for agricultural technology will take place in its regular rotation in November 2023
Christoph Gröblinghoff, Chairman of the Management Board of AGCO/Fendt and member of the Agritechnica Advisory Board of DLG at VDMA said,
“The cancellation of the Agritechnica 2022 is an extremely responsible decision by the DLG towards all exhibitors and visitors. The current pandemic situation does not allow for a trade fair. For our AGCO brands, Fendt, Valtra and Massey Ferguson, a successful Agritechnica is characterized by personal contacts and good discussions. We want to exchange ideas directly with farmers, contractors, business partners and other manufacturers. If the current situation does not allow people to meet in an unbiased way, then we support this very prudent and consistent decision by DLG.”
“It is disappointing that we will miss this great opportunity to meet our customers and colleagues from across the world at this important international event. We do, however, totally support the DLG decision and agree that, due to the current situation with Covid-19 and the ongoing uncertainty, the safety of our staff and visitors must be the top priority” adds Eric Hansotia, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer AGCO.
