European Manufacturer Opens New US Facility
The opening of a new facility in El Dorado, Kansas, the Amazone Group continues to expand its activities in North America. This new US location complements its existing commitments in the North American continent and strengthens the local presence in one of the most important agricultural regions in the United States.
The company has been represented in the North American market since the 1970s and enjoyed great success early on, selling tens of thousands of fertiliser spreaders under the EasyFlow and New Idea brand names in the USA.
its subsidiary Amazone Inc. was founded in Canada in 2016, with its North American business activities initially focusing on the Canadian market. Since then, agricultural machinery delivered by container from the companies production sites has been assembled in Québec and then shipped by truck within Canada and to the USA.
With the founding of Amazone USA Inc. in Delaware in 2021, Amazonehas successfully expanded its activities in North America to include a direct presence in the USA. Today, more than 30 employees in Canada and the USA support local farmers and dealers, offer practical advice, and ensure close partnerships.
While final assembly in Québec remains an integral part of activities in North America, the opening of the new facility in El Dorado, Kansas marks a significant step in the company’s further development. Despite the challenging market situation in the USA, Amazone is sending a clear signal for further growth and is investing specifically in strengthening its local presence. El Dorado is in the heart of one of the most important agricultural regions in the United States. Thanks to its location directly on Interstate 35 between the metropolitan areas of Kansas City and Wichita, El Dorado has excellent transport links – both to the second-largest railway terminal in the USA and to several cargo airports. In addition, the region offers access to a labour market with technically well-trained specialists. These geographical advantages make El Dorado an ideal hub for logistics and future activities.
The new site covers a total area of 2.63 acres and includes a warehouse with around 2,800 m², of which approximately 150 m² is office space. The site will be used for the storage and shipping of Amazone agricultural machinery and spare parts for the entire US market, as well as for final assembly.
