Milestone Reached with 1,000th Evolution Separator Sold

Scotts Precision Manufacturing, based in Eastville, Lincolnshire, has marked a major milestone with the sale of its 1,000th Evolution Separator. First launched in 2005, the Evolution Separator has become a trusted machine for growers and processors worldwide, providing gentle handling and efficient cleaning of root crops.

The original concept was born out of a need for better, more reliable systems in the root crop industry. Existing machines were often outdated, inefficient, and caused unnecessary crop damage. The Evolution Separator addressed these issues, setting a new standard for crop cleaning both on farms and in factories.

Now in its second generation, the latest Evolution Separator uses direct drive motors rather than the original chain drive, offering improved performance, reduced maintenance, and increased reliability. The machine continues to be deployed globally, proving its versatility and effectiveness across diverse growing and processing operations.

The landmark 1,000th unit was delivered to a British grower, underscoring the trust and loyalty Scotts enjoys in both domestic and international markets. The success of the Evolution Separator has been a key driver for the company, prompting the doubling of factory size in recent years and expanding the team to around 25 skilled staff. Further expansion plans are already underway.

Derek Scott, managing director of Scotts Precision Manufacturing, commented: “This milestone is more than just a number. Since launching the Evolution Separator in 2005, our goal has been to give growers a solution that makes their work easier, their crops cleaner, and their operations more efficient. To see 1,000 machines now in use around the world is humbling. None of this would have been possible without the trust of our customers and the dedication of our team.”

Looking forward, Scotts is continuing to innovate, with the next chapter of the Evolution Separator already in development. The company aims to ensure the machine continues to meet the evolving needs of modern agriculture and food production.
