Manufacturer reshapes East Scotland dealer network
KRONE UK has announced a significant reshaping of its dealer network in East Scotland, appointing C T Scott Ltd as a new dealer while confirming the planned conclusion of its long-standing partnership with Alan MacKay Machinery.
Family-run C T Scott joined the KRONE UK dealer network on 9 July and will represent the manufacturer’s full range of hay and forage machinery from its depots at Insch, Aberdeenshire, and Muirhead, Dundee. The appointment strengthens KRONE’s presence across East Scotland and expands sales, service and aftersales support for customers in the region.
At the same time, KRONE UK has confirmed that its dealer agreement with Alan MacKay Machinery will end on 6 January 2027. The dealership, which has represented the brand from its Forfar and Rothienorman branches for many years, will continue to provide full customer support throughout the transition period.
The overlapping locations of the two businesses indicate that C T Scott will gradually assume responsibility for the territory currently served by Alan MacKay Machinery, ensuring continuity of support while KRONE implements the network change.
Craig Scott, managing director of C T Scott, described the appointment as “an exciting step” for the business, adding that KRONE’s reputation for innovation, reliability and customer support closely aligns with the company’s own values.
KRONE UK also paid tribute to Alan MacKay Machinery, thanking the dealership for its years of commitment to the brand and its contribution to supporting forage machinery customers across East Scotland.
Jim Holmes, commercial operations manager at KRONE UK, said C T Scott’s reputation for customer service and knowledge of the regional agricultural market made it a strong addition to the dealer network. He added that the company looks forward to working with the new dealer to maintain high standards of sales, service and aftersales support during and beyond the transition.
The changes are designed to provide a seamless handover for existing customers while reinforcing KRONE UK’s dealer coverage across one of Scotland’s key agricultural regions.
