LAMMA 2026 sets new benchmark with record attendance and exhibitor turnout

LAMMA 2026 marked a landmark year for the UK’s largest agricultural machinery and technology show, attracting more than 45,000 visitors and over 800 exhibitors to the NEC, Birmingham – the highest attendance in the event’s 44-year history.

For the first time, LAMMA was co-located with CropTec and the Low Carbon Agriculture Show, creating a combined platform that brought machinery, agronomy, policy and future energy systems together under one roof. The expanded format was widely credited with increasing dwell time and delivering a more joined-up view of the challenges facing modern farming businesses.

Machinery launches and live demonstrations formed the backbone of the event, supported by several new features introduced for 2026. These included a Dairy & Beef Hub, Innovation Trail and the Future in Farming Zone, all aimed at highlighting productivity, sustainability and skills development across the sector.

A strong focus was placed on the next generation of farmers, with the launch of the 2026 Young British Farming Awards drawing attention to succession, skills and new business models. Industry panels reinforced the role of young people in driving regenerative and technology-led farming systems.

Innovation was further highlighted through the LAMMA 2026 Innovation Awards, which recognised practical solutions addressing real on-farm challenges. Overall winner Agro-Vital was selected for its TRIPLEX nutrient management system, combining soil and sap analysis with farm-specific data to deliver tailored fertiliser programmes.

Despite a challenging year for the agricultural sector, exhibitor feedback was broadly positive. Many reported strong footfall, high-quality conversations and renewed interest in machinery investment and technology adoption. Manufacturers and service providers highlighted the value of face-to-face engagement in understanding customer priorities and market conditions.

The inclusion of CropTec and the Low Carbon Agriculture Show added depth to the programme, with discussions covering policy, input efficiency, alternative fuels and future power systems. According to organisers, the 2026 event demonstrated continued confidence in the sector and reinforced LAMMA’s role as a key fixture in the agricultural machinery calendar.
