Agritechnica Australia to launch in Melbourne in 2027
DLG and Hannover Fairs Australia will launch Agritechnica Australia at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 21 to 23 July 2027, extending the machinery exhibition brand into one of the world’s major broadacre farming markets.
The new trade fair will focus on agricultural machinery, agtech and modern production systems for Australian broadacre farming. It joins Agritechnica in Hanover and Agritechnica Asia in DLG’s international exhibition network.
DLG said the event would connect global manufacturers and technology providers with Australian farmers, agribusinesses and industry organisations. Australian companies will also be offered a platform to present their technology to international audiences.
Australia’s large-scale production systems, demanding climate and emphasis on efficiency make it an important market for machinery, automation, digitalisation and agtech. The organisers said the show would be tailored to those operating conditions and regional requirements.
Industry backing
The event is being developed by DLG and Hannover Fairs Australia with support from GrainGrowers Australia, AusAgritech, the Australian Fodder Industry Association and the National Farmers’ Federation.
Jens Kremer, managing director of DLG Markets, said the launch represented the next stage in the international development of the Agritechnica brand and would combine global technical expertise with the needs of the Australian market.
Lola Rauch, show director for Agritechnica Australia at DLG, said the organisers aimed to bring together Australian agriculture, international technology and practical expertise, while increasing the global visibility of Australian innovation.
Tim Bostridge, managing director of Hannover Fairs Australia, described the Melbourne event as a dedicated meeting place for farmers, technology suppliers, industry bodies and international partners.
Global network
Agritechnica’s flagship Hanover event is scheduled for 14 to 20 November 2027. DLG said its regional events are intended to take the brand into strategically important agricultural markets, with Agritechnica Asia already established in Southeast Asia.
