- ADAMA Agricultural Solutions UK Ltd. has appointed Jonny Oosthuizen as the company’s new Regional Agronomy Manager in the South West
- Jonny joins ADAMA from Bartholomews Agri Food Ltd. where, for the last five years, he has worked as an agronomist covering 7,000 acres in Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire
- Jonny originally joined Bartholomews as a trainee agronomist in 2012 and was the first entrant to the company’s graduate training scheme
Jonny is BASIS and FACTS qualified and is a BSc (Hons) Agriculture graduate of the Royal Agricultural University. He is also a Voluntary Initiative Champion and is one of the organisation’s 23 national experts responsible for delivery of the Initiative’s IPM-focused sustainability messages.
Commenting on his appointment, Will Nicholls, Regional Agronomy Manager Lead, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Jonny to ADAMA and look forward to working with him to improve our scope and reach throughout the South West.
“Jonny is well known throughout his region and has built a strong reputation for providing first-class fertiliser, seed and crop protection advice. He also has extensive crop trials experience and, as such, is ideally placed to offer technical support and guidance to growers, agronomists and trade partners throughout the South West.
“Jonny will also provide technical support to crop protection distributors in the South West and will play an integral part in the development of regional and national strategies for ADAMA’s expanding ranges of herbicides and plant growth regulators.”
