Comment – A Good Call?

This week, at great expense, the white diesel tank was filled. I’m not sure whether this is a good decision or not. Given the price paid, maybe not, but as I filled up a jerry can of unleaded for the farm UTV this morning there was scent of desperation about the cars at the petrol station. Time will tell.

Daughter No 2 was attempting to cross Ireland yesterday to get the airport and got caught up in the traffic due to HGV’s, tractors and slurry tankers protesting.  A quick look at the news shows that this issue is serious on the other side of the Irish Sea. She did make the plane.

Elsewhere it’s not been a great week in the Agritech startup world, with not one but two manufacturers calling it a day. Have a look here, and here for the low down.  The cynic in me does wonder why some ‘disruptive innovators’ (their words not mine) insist on trying to leapfrog an established supply chain, and tell us all how they are going to change the world. Let the deed show.

This story of Iranian hackers targeting utilities companies in the States via their equipments PLC controllers caught my eye. There’s a lot to be said for paying the annual subscription for the anti virus software.

Have a good week.
