Comment – Downtime, and Uptime..

Whilst the world was reeling in shock that Donald Trump didn’t return home with a peace deal from Anchorage, I took the opportunity, with the family to take a day off. Admittedly a Saturday, but as a dairy farmers son, days off have historically been associated with guilt. There I’ve said it.

Yesterday marked my celebration of being four years off 50, you can work it out.. And, as luck would have it, we got places on the Cross Bay Walk  ,which has been on my bucket list for a while. Accompanied by some Morecambe Bay ‘cockler’ spec Nuffield’s, we enjoyed a great 7 mile walk out into the bay with the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales behind us. I recommend this, or any day out away from the coal face.

Back in the business, it’s no surprise that Deere & Co have announced record inward investment in the USA, alongside JCB’s latest defence order and coincidental US factory investment here.

Interestingly two UK companies have signed a memorandum of understanding to accelerate the use of ‘zero-carbon hydrogen fuel for heavy-duty vehicles and non-road mobile machinery’. Worth a read here.

So its 24 degrees outside, and its time to fire up the Tedder..

Have a great week.
