New Irish partner for autonomous tractors
- Kelly’s of Borris has staked its claim in the autonomous tractor sector with the Irish release of the revolutionary AgBot
AgXeed has announced the appointment of Kelly’s of Borris as its distribution and service partner for Ireland, effective from the half of February 2024.
AgBots developed by AgXeed, allow a range of monotonous or time-sensitive tasks, such as power harrowing, seeding and topping, to be performed without an onboard operator. AgXeed is distributed in Ireland by Kelly’s, one of the largest privately-owned farm machinery distributors in Ireland.
AgXeed places a high priority on its distribution partners having an innovative mindset, providing comprehensive service and maintaining a direct link to the customer. Kelly’s expertise in the agricultural industry will play a pivotal role in ensuring farmers and agricultural professionals have easy access to AgXeed’s cutting-edge technology solutions.
The technology offered by AgXeed is more than just a machine – it represents a new way of farming. Therefore, AgXeed’s partners are expected to guide and support customers in the change management process.
Kelly’s of Borris is a family-run business, established in 1957, and has been serving the Irish market for 64 years. Kelly’s is one of Ireland’s largest stockists of new and used agricultural machinery, farm machinery and plant equipment.
Martin Kangh, Product Specialist at Kelly’s of Borris said:
“Finding drivers is becoming increasingly harder with a drop Ag students and increasingly long hours in this industry and I think the AgBot can fill a gap. Our farmers have been using GPS, autosteer and ISOBUS for many years, this product just takes it a step further bringing technology into one machine. I am keen to get the product into the field and show customers what it can do. There are a few much smaller robots coming into the industry but nothing like this that can really replace a 160hp tractor for field work.”
Together, AgXeed and Kelly’s of Borris will provide farmers with real autonomy to manage their businesses sustainably and profitably.
