Sprayer specialist joins dealer network
Building on a relationship of over thirty years, Anglia Sprayers is the latest business to become a full-line dealership for the range of British-built mounted, trailed and self-propelled sprayers manufactured by Rutland-based Knight Farm Machinery, plus the complementary mounted, trailed and specialist models from the recently formed AGROMA UK business.
Founded in 1990 by Geoff Miles, and still a family-owned business, Anglia Sprayers later moved to a purpose-built engineering and test facility at Lancaster Way, Ely, in the heart of eastern England’s intensive cropping area, where it remains today. Here, the firm employs a full team of specialist service engineers to support customers across its region. In addition, the company holds over £1m of sprayer parts to support its customers, the largest stock of spares in Europe. Anglia Sprayers also has extensive workshop facilities for service work and a fleet of vehicles for on-farm service support.
Anglia Sprayers now has access to Knight’s full line of British-built 1,300-1,900 litre mounted, 3,500-12,000 litre trailed and 3,500-6,000 litre self-propelled models, plus demount sprayers and applicator systems. Also included in the agreement is the range of sprayers from the recently-launched AGROMA UK business, from mounted 800-1,500 litre to trailed 3,000-4,000 litre models, plus 200-2,000 litre orchard, fruit and vineyard sprayers, and mist models designed for sanitising buildings such as livestock housing.
“Having worked with Anglia Sprayers for many years, we’re delighted to add their scale and specialist knowledge to the Knight and AGROMA retail network,” says Paul Harrison, sales and marketing consultant at Knight and AGROMA UK.
“This is a company at the heart of one of the UK’s most important arable areas, where effective crop protection is crucial to the production of high quality, profitable crops. Anglia Sprayers is the ideal partner for us to show why the technologies we offer can play a significant part in that.”
Having worked with Knight Farm Machinery and its products for over 30 years, a full franchise agreement is a natural extension of the two businesses’ relationship, says Hannah Day, director at Anglia Sprayers alongside her brother, David, and their parents, Geoff and Elizabeth.
“We look forward to selling the range of new Knight and AGROMA machines, and offering customers our broad knowledge of sprayers, our servicing expertise and our extensive component stocks.”
