Agricultural communicators go the extra mile for farming charities
On Saturday, 20 May 2023, members of the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists (BGAJ) including Agrimachinery.trade’s editor Andy Newbold walked the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for charity. The three peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside are among the best-known in the Yorkshire Dales.
The 25-mile fundraising circular walk – literally up hill and down dale – was undertaken by nine BGAJ members and friends with guide David Pritchard.
Do please consider sponsoring us – the money raised will be divided equally between three farming-related charities:
BGAJ Charitable Trust (Charity no: 1025968)
The BGAJ Charitable Trust helps farm journalists, communicators and their dependents who have fallen upon hard times or into poor health.
Farming Community Network (Charity no: 1095919)
With a network of over 400 volunteers, the FCN supports farmers and farming families across England and Wales through difficult times.
RSABI (Charity no: SC009828)
Supporting people in Scottish agriculture, RSABI provides practical, emotional and financial support to those working in the farming industry.
