New Distribution Model Set for UK Market From 2026

A revised UK distribution strategy comes into effect from 1 February 2026, with German agricultural machinery manufacturer Strautmann moving to a direct-to-dealer model.

Under the new approach, the company transitions away from working with a single exclusive importer and instead supplies an independent UK dealer network directly from its headquarters in Germany. The move is positioned as a long-term investment in the UK market, aimed at strengthening dealer relationships and improving customer support across the full product range.

By working directly with dealers, Strautmann says it can streamline communication, shorten response times and offer more consistent technical and aftersales support.

The UK point of contact for distribution, sales and aftersales matters is sales and aftersales specialist David Mein, who brings experience in the agricultural machinery sector alongside detailed product knowledge of Strautmann equipment. He acts as the central liaison between UK dealers and the manufacturer.

The new strategy will be discussed with dealers and customers at LAMMA 2026, where the Strautmann team will be present to outline how the revised distribution structure supports future growth in the UK.

Strautmann develops and manufactures machinery for livestock feeding, forage harvesting and agricultural transport, with production sites across Europe. The business supplies markets worldwide and continues to focus on efficiency, reliability and long-term dealer support.
