New Distribution Agreement Strengthens Machinery Support in New Zealand
Carrfields has been appointed as the new distribution partner for the British-built applicator and seeder range from Stocks Ag in New Zealand, covering both the North and South Islands.
Under the agreement, Carrfields takes responsibility for supplying the full range of Stocks Ag applicators and seeders, alongside parts and service support for both new and existing machines. The partnership aims to enhance customer experience through the continued development of Carrfields’ regional support network across the country.
Carrfields’ technical sales specialist and newly appointed Stocks Ag product specialist, Paul Southgate, together with the company’s precision and technology manager, Paul Collins, bring extensive experience with the Stocks Ag product range, having previously worked with the machines under the former distributor in New Zealand.
Commenting on the appointment, Sean Stanfield, sales manager at Stocks Ag, said the company was pleased to formalise the partnership. He noted that discussions with customers during a visit to New Zealand earlier in the year highlighted the strength of Carrfields’ service and support offering, adding that both companies looked forward to growing the Stocks Ag presence in the New Zealand market together.
A number of Stocks Ag applicators and seeders are already operating across New Zealand, meaning the brand is well recognised by farmers and contractors. This provided a strong platform for Carrfields to build on the established reputation, supported by local stock holdings of machines and spare parts to ensure prompt sales and aftersales response.
Paul Southgate said Carrfields was pleased to be appointed as the distributor and highlighted the potential for the range in New Zealand conditions. He added that the combination of build quality and competitive pricing was expected to drive demand for high-performing applicators and seeders across a wide range of farming systems.
The addition of Stocks Ag further strengthens Carrfields’ existing agricultural machinery distribution portfolio, reinforcing its position as a key supplier to the New Zealand market.
