West of Ireland Gains New Dealer
Merlo Ireland has expanded its national dealer network with the appointment of Kirrane Machinery Ltd as its authorised agricultural dealer for the West of Ireland. The appointment took effect on 1 February 2026, strengthening the brand’s footprint across the region and bringing the total number of Merlo agricultural dealers in Ireland to four.
Based in Claremorris, Co. Mayo, Kirrane Machinery has more than a decade of experience in the sales, service, and repair of agricultural and construction machinery. The business has developed a strong reputation for engineering knowledge and customer support, qualities Merlo Ireland highlighted as key factors in the decision to expand the partnership.
According to the company, Kirrane Machinery will provide the full Merlo agricultural telehandler line‑up, as well as genuine parts and comprehensive after‑sales support. The addition aims to improve service accessibility for farmers and contractors operating across the West, an area previously identified by Merlo Ireland as a growth region for telehandler demand.
Commenting on the appointment, Martin Kirrane, Managing Director of Kirrane Machinery Ltd, said the dealership looks forward to representing a premium brand known for innovation, reliability, and performance. He noted that the partnership will allow the company to offer an extended product range alongside its established service capability.
Owen Buttle, National Sales Manager for Merlo UK & Ireland, welcomed the addition to the network, stating that Kirrane Machinery’s technical experience and customer‑first approach made it a strong fit for the Merlo portfolio. He added that expanding dealer coverage ensures improved access to sales and service for customers in the West of Ireland.
The announcement forms part of Merlo’s broader strategy to enhance dealer presence and support across Ireland, ensuring consistent coverage for its agricultural telehandler range.
