New Agricultural Dealer Appointed

Manitou UK has appointed George Browns as its new authorised agricultural dealer, expanding the manufacturer’s coverage across key counties in the South and Midlands.

Effective January 2026, George Browns will represent Manitou’s full agricultural machinery portfolio, including telescopic handlers from 4m to 10m reach, skidsteer and track loaders, and industrial forklifts from 1t to 10t. The dealer will support customers across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hertfordshire through its Chesham and Daventry depots.

Established in 1830, George Browns is a longstanding, familyrun business with a strong reputation for service and technical expertise. Its commitment to aftersales support, parts availability and customer relationships aligns closely with Manitou’s dealer standards.

Steve Brown, Managing Director at George Browns, said the partnership is an important step for the business, adding that Manitou’s agricultural lineup complements its existing brand portfolio and strengthens the support available to farmers and contractors within the region.

Peter Smyth, Sales Director at Manitou UK, welcomed the appointment, highlighting George Browns’ heritage in agricultural machinery and its serviceled culture. He noted that Managing Director Stephen Brown and his team will play a key role in growing Manitou’s presence locally.

The agreement reinforces Manitou UK’s strategy of partnering with established, servicefocused dealerships to support modern farming requirements. Customers within the territory will benefit from improved access to machinery, expert advice and responsive aftersales support.
