Case IH increases UK dealer coverage
The appointment of Davidson Tractors Ltd, based in Dumfries and Galloway, extends the Case IH brand into South West Scotland while John Day Engineering will cover Berkshire, Southern Oxfordshire and surroundings; both locations that were previously ‘open’ areas for the Case IH brand.
Charles Blessley, Marketing Manager at Case IH said: “We are extremely pleased to be growing the Case IH dealer network into new areas with these two appointments. Both are long-established family businesses in strong mixed farming areas and are well-placed to support the Case IH brand. These new dealerships, together with the addition of Cornwall Farm Machinery and Sharmans Agricultural Ltd in 2020, are helping us to expand our customer base in all corners of the UK, making our wide range of tractors and harvesting equipment available to even more farmers, contractors and municipal users.”
The Davidson family has been operating since 1964 from Newton Stewart, switching to the Case IH franchise after 34 years with a previous manufacturer. Director Graeme Davidson said: “Moving to Case IH represents a new opportunity for our business and we are very excited about the future. Case IH is recognised as a premier global brand and since joining the network we have already sold a number of Case IH tractors to our existing customer base and are looking forward to introducing the brand to more customers in 2021.”
John Day Engineering in Hungerford was established 36 years ago and specialises in farming machinery and nationwide haulage. Managing Director, Chris Day said: “It’s great to be working with a respected manufacturer like Case IH. The area we operate in has a wide variety of farming enterprises and with the Case IH range of tractors, telehandlers, balers and combines, we now have a comprehensive selection of products to offer our clients. We are delighted to already be seeing quotations and demonstrations translating into sales.”
Davidson Tractors Ltd and John Day Engineering Ltd officially became Case IH dealers in December 2020 and January 2021 respectively.
