Claydon appoints Export Territory Manager for France

Claydon has further strengthened its team with the appointment of Victor Havet as Export Territory Manager for France.

Victor, who joined Claydon on 4 January 2021 and will be working closely with Claydon’s Export Manager, Simon Revell, within the company’s Commercial Team headed by Spencer Claydon, states:

“I am delighted to be joining Claydon at this time because the company’s Opti-Till® System provides a solution to so many of the key issues which farmers currently face. Claydon is an innovative family business and as farmers themselves they understand what is required to produce consistently good, high yielding crops at low cost for optimum profitability, with the added benefits of improvements in soil health, biodiversity, and water management.”

Born into a family which has been involved in agriculture for several generations, Victor grew up on a farm and always wanted to make his career in this sector. He studied at IUT de I’Indre from 2010 to 2012 and gained a DUT in Logistics Management, then for a further three years at the IFAG Management School in Montluçon, graduating in 2015 with a Master’s Degree in Business and Management. During these three years he also worked in the aviation industry as a buyer.

After graduation, Victor wanted to work in the field with farmers and joined CLOUÉ SA, a large agricultural machinery dealer in central France, where he was responsible for the sale of many brands of farm machinery, including Case IH tractors and harvesting equipment, and seed drills.

After three years, Victor moved to JEUDY SAS, a family-owned agricultural trading company at Le Montet in the heart of Auvergne, where he helped to create and launch, the first online physical marketplace for trading cereals.

Wanting to return to a field-based position in the agricultural machinery sector and have more direct contact with farmers, Victor joined Claydon. With a detailed knowledge of French agriculture and the farm machinery sector, he is looking forward to working with Claydon dealers and customers throughout France.

Simon Revell, Export Manager, states: “Victor is a key addition to the Claydon team, and his knowledge will be hugely beneficial in making farmers more aware of time, cost, labour savings and environmental benefits of the Claydon Opti-Till® System.”

Based in Clermont-Ferrand, 29-year-old Victor enjoys keeping up with agricultural and geopolitical news, gardening, riding his motorcycle and taking part in sports like football, badminton, cycling and running.
