Comment – Its starting to get busy

I’ve had a lovely week, trying to ignore the news headlines. However a few things did sneak through:

On the one hand Deere have confirmed the closure of the Devon based plant of Vapormatic, see here for the full story, whilst simultaneously doing a deal with Kramp to sell the Vapormatic brand of spare parts. One can only assume made elsewhere. Don’t get me started on ‘they are all the same you know”…

Across the water Deere have also recently announced the purchase of GUSS Automation, if not betting the farm, then at least showing a direction of travel.

Closer to home JCB has rapidly announced new dealers, covering the area previously served by RVT. The changes focus on the counties of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, and parts of Powys and Ceredigion, areas previously covered by Rea Valley Tractors.

JCB Agriculture MD John Smith said:  “We are moving quickly to appoint new dealers for these strategically important counties in order to retain the first-class sales and service that our customers have come to expect. We expect the transition to be seamless given the expertise and professionalism of the dealers being appointed. We would also like to thank Rea Valley Tractors for supporting JCB customers for the past 18 years.”

Here we go again..

Have a good week.
