Exciting return to Hannover for Scottish tech firm

  • SoilEssentials, the leading precision farming specialists in agricultural technology, is thrilled to announce participation in AgriTechnica 2023, the most anticipated event in the global agricultural calendar. From November 12th to 18th, they will be showcasing two of their cutting-edge solutions in Hall 8, at Stand C21

Managing Director Jim Wilson describes the reason for exhibiting, “AgriTechnica is a premier international platform that brings together the latest technological advancements, product innovations and pioneers in farming. We are excited to be part of this incredible event and resent two of our own innovative product solutions to the global agricultural community.”

One of the highlights of our exhibition will be our multi-award-winning SKAi – a revolutionary spot spraying system aiming to transform farming practices worldwide. SKAi is designed to detect, target, and precisely spray identified and unwanted individual plant species. Initially utilised to target dock infestations in grassland, SKAi is already being put to work in high value arable crops, such as onions and broccoli. The retrainable aspect of SKAI allows the system to work in new ranges of weed and volunteer plant scenarios.

General Manager Gregor Welsh explains, “By adopting SKAi, farmers can dramatically reduce their chemical usage by up to 90%, ensuring that treatments are applied only where needed, not across the entire field. This innovative system enhances sustainability, minimises crop damage and environmental impact, and yields substantial cost savings – an attractive essential tool for modern agriculture.

SoilEssentials recently scaled up to a multi-camera system on a bespoke tractor mounted sprayer with SKAi technology controlling individual air solenoid nozzles. SKAi can also be retrofitted and seamlessly integrated with established, existing GPS and sprayer systems.

In addition to SKAi, SoilEssentials will proudly present their established and ever-evolving cloud precision farming platform, KORE.

Jim continues, “KORE is a ready-to-use, professional, and fully customised platform that empowers farmers to enhance their agronomy services, streamline client management, and increase overall profitability. Precision agricultural software which is customised for your soil sampling business to meet your customer, agronomic and environmental needs.”

With its user-friendly interface and powerful analytics, KORE offers unparalleled insights into farming operations, helping make data-driven decisions for improved efficiency and productivity.

SoilEssentials invite you to visit their stand in Hall 8, C21 during AgriTechnica 2023. Their team of experts will be on hand to answer questions and discuss how their solutions can transform your customers farming operations.
