High fives all round for award winning Witham Group
- Royal Warrant Holder, the Witham Group is celebrating after winning five different awards in as many weeks at a series of events
The company, which manufactures lubricants and paints at its headquarters in Lincoln and has depots in Soham and Lowestoft, won the top award at the Lincolnshire Show recently: the Hugh Bourne Trophy for ‘Best Overall Stand’ and the Sir Joseph Nickerson Award for ‘Best Stand Allied to Agriculture’.
Securing a hat-trick of triumphs at the Lincolnshire Show, Witham’s third trophy, the ‘New and Improved Innovation’, was recognition for its Prolan range of environmentally friendly lubricants.
Prolan is an innovative lubricant range that has been proven to protect and extend the life of agricultural equipment and machinery. Prolan is made with lanolin, derived from sheep’s wool and a blend of natural oils. It is a powerful natural protector and rust shield which protects metal, wood, rubber and electrical components from moisture and corrosion but without all the nasties. Non-toxic, food and water safe, Prolan is a long lasting, quality, environmental alternative to traditional lubricants.
Meanwhile, during the Royal Norfolk Show at the end of June, Witham Group was presented with the Barclays Bank Challenge Cup from Lord Cholmondeley for ‘Best Trade Stand’, beating off stiff competition after a two-year break from exhibiting due to the Covid pandemic.
Witham Group’s recent successes comes off the back of winning ‘Business of the Year’ at the Lincolnshire Business Excellence Awards at the end of May, finishing ahead of 200 other entrants.
Witham Group Managing Director, Nigel R Bottom, said: “We are incredibly proud to win these latest awards in our Lincolnshire and East Anglian heartland, amongst so many other fantastic entrants. Witham Group is committed to providing the best service it can, as well as developing sustainable alternatives to traditional products, and we are delighted that this has been recognised by all the different judging panels.
“Well done to everyone at Team Witham and congratulations to all the other winners and finalists.”
