Your tasks
The Institute for Mobile Machines and Commercial Vehicles is a core institute with basic and application-oriented contributions in the field of vehicle technology and mobile machines in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and in the Lower Saxony Research Center for Vehicle Technology (NFF). The professorship is assigned to the research focus Mobility of the TU Braunschweig and also works interdisciplinary with the other research focuses. The institute is excellently networked with federal research institutions through joint projects and courses.
The focus of future research should be in the following areas:
- Digital networking in mobile systems
- Intelligent automation of process and driving functions
- Sustainable systems of mobile machines and commercial vehicles
- Efficient process technology in mobile machines
- Innovative drive systems and chassis
The job holder is expected to carry out the executive management of a larger institute and research on the aforementioned priorities. The research topics are to be developed theoretically and demonstrated by means of experiments and on test vehicles, for which an extensively equipped workshop is available.
The teaching covers basic-oriented courses for all bachelor’s and master’s degree programs of the faculty as well as further offers for students of the degree programs in automotive.
