Shropshire dairy farmer wins Merlo competititon
During 2020, Merlo UK partnered with Mole Valley Farmers & British Dairying to offer UK farmers the chance to win the free use of a Merlo TF35.7 telehandler for 12 months.
Entrants completed a number of questions relating to the dairy industry, devised and set by the competition partners and Professor Liam Sinclair of Harper Adams. The questions were available by visiting britishdairying.co.uk and merlo.co.uk.
The lucky winner has been confirmed as Matthew Thomas of JM & P Thomas, Green Farm, Longnor, Shropshire. Milking 500 cows the busy family farm will be able to make great use of their prize in the months ahead.
“I was shocked and surprised to be chosen as the winner, the team and I are looking forward to having a modern and comfortable Tier 5 Merlo on the farm. One of its main duties will be feeding so it will have a lot of work to do.” says Matthew Thomas
Four runners up will be receiving their prizes from Mole Valley Farmers & Merlo UK shortly, those runners up are James Yeatman, Abi Reader, Geraint Davies and Annabella Baker.
