Yara UK welcomes Catherine McNair, who joins the company as Area Manager for East Anglia. As a FACTS qualified advisor, Catherine will be responsible for farmer customer relationships throughout the East Anglia region, supporting customers with their crop nutrition requirements.

Catherine brings almost a decade of experience working in buying groups and merchants and a high level of technical knowledge of crop inputs. Having dealt with Yara in those roles, she is very familiar with the range of products and services on offer, and well-positioned to support customers.

As Area Manager, Catherine will be building relationships with farmers and customers across the region; helping them to navigate a challenging and ever-changing climate and an evolving regulatory system.

Sustainability and minimising environmental impact are high on Yara’s corporate agenda and recognising that these challenges are set to continue for some time, Yara’s focus on developing solutions to help growers is more pertinent than ever.

Having grown up on an arable family farm, Catherine is fully aware of the pressure’s farmers face and just how valuable advice and support can be. “Understanding my customers’ farm businesses is particularly important for me, and I realise that Yara, for many, is a big part of that,” says Catherine. “The external challenges posed by climate change, the sustainability agenda and protecting the environment are a massive focus for farmers and for Yara.”

Considering Yara’s efforts to help customers meet the challenges faced on these fronts, Catherine reflects that the team development and support is strong, highlighting the investment in strengthening the experienced and knowledgeable team is reassuring to customers.

“It’s a challenging time for the whole sector, but with Yara’s drive and commitment for the benefit of the industry and with a focus on growing the team of expertise, Yara is definitely looking to the future and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
