Comment – A Great Start

You can guess where I have been this week.

Footsore and with a burgeoning cold, LAMMA did not disappoint, with a claimed attendance of over 45000 visitors over the two days, there was an air of confidence which we haven’t experienced for some time. Despite cereal and milk prices being in the doldrums.

Exhibitor feedback was positive, with specific comments about busy stands throughout both days, and orders being placed on the stand, whatever next?

Obviously popcorn sales are through the roof this weekend as Trump selects his favourite tactic of tariffs  (bar military extraction of leaders) as a lever to get Greenland. Whilst the US economy hasn’t tanked yet, it also isn’t on fire, the Guardian has a nuanced view on the reasons here. As ever the devil lies in the detail.

There is a Chinese curse ‘may you live in interesting times’ quite.

Back at base, the final store lambs of the ’25 crop are now sold and we are content with the prices, so it’s time to clear the shed ready for lambing time, and maybe a few more calves?
