Manufacturer goes direct
- Sky Agriculture UK now supplies whole product line.
In 2023, the Burel Group proudly launched Sky Agriculture, merging its three renowned brands—Prolog, Sulky, and Sky. This strategic merger allows Sky Agriculture to offer a more cohesive and innovative approach, helping farmers adopt sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. With a comprehensive range of solutions focused on precision, technology, energy efficiency, and agronomy, Sky Agriculture is set to provide unmatched support to dealers and farmers alike.
Direct Sales to the UK Market: A Strategic Shift
After thorough evaluation, the Burel Group has made the strategic decision to directly supply its entire Sky Agriculture product line to UK dealers. This move aligns with the successful distribution model already implemented in key markets such as France, Poland, and Germany, and represents a significant commitment to the UK agricultural sector.
Mark Whalley, Sky Agriculture UK Team Leader & Territory Sales Manager, commented on this new chapter:
“We aspire to make the United Kingdom the Burel Group’s number one export market. We plan to merge the existing OPICO Sky dealers with our existing network to ensure we continue to offer top tier support to both dealers and farmers.”
During this transition, OPICO Ltd will continue to provide parts for the No-Till EASYDRILL until the end of November 2024. Julien Paul, Sky Agriculture’s Sales Director, expressed his gratitude to OPICO for their successful work in promoting the EASYDRILL over the years.
To support the EasyDrill dealers and farmer, in November, SKY Agriculture will be hosting 3 agronomy workshops, with the support of Frederic Thomas and their in house agronomist Marie Morineau. The workshops held in Taunton, Banbury and Wakefield will cover soil health, cover crops and agronomy. These will be on farms that are utilizing the no till practices giving farmers the chance to see and hear about the changes since adopting these practices.
