Comment- In like a lion?

I get a bit sick of doomscrolling the latest news and looking for the linkage to our world. So, just for fun, earlier, I googled the following phrase ‘What are the latest headlines in the world of agricultural machinery supply, global, European and UK’.  Don’t click here, if you want to avoid an AI inspired (and possibly totally wrong) response.

With 48mm in the rain gauge on Friday morning, and again torrential rain this morning (Sunday), one could be forgiven for thinking that we are still in November, but I’m assured that although we are in calendar ‘Spring’, at some point proper ‘Spring’ will land.

Whilst some of the news rightfully gives cause for concern, closer to home the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund opens this week for applications and a government backed low interest loan scheme has been unveiled for farmers in Wales.  Although the devil lies in the detail with the Welsh scheme, with a £5 Million pot for the first year and a maximum loan of £1m, it might just be oversubscribed very very quickly.

Lambing time started earlier than anticipated this week, so with a lovely set of twins we are off..
