Scottish dealer expansion with new partnership
Sky Agriculture has strengthened its presence in Scotland through a new dealer partnership with Forfar-based machinery specialist AL Agri.
The agreement will see AL Agri represent Sky Agriculture’s range of cultivation, drilling and fertiliser application equipment across Angus and the surrounding region, providing local sales and support for Scottish farmers and contractors.
As part of its commitment to the brand, AL Agri has invested in Sky Agriculture’s latest drilling technology, with a high-capacity combination set to arrive later this summer. The package includes a Progress TF front tank, HRW 280 power harrow and P50 double-disc seeding line.
Designed to improve establishment efficiency, the Progress TF front tank features a pressurised metering system capable of handling up to four separate hoppers through a single ISOBUS interface. This enables operators to apply multiple products at different rates in a single pass, making it particularly suitable for combined seed and fertiliser applications.
When paired with the HRW 280 power harrow and P50 seeding unit, the system offers a versatile solution for a wide range of soil conditions and crop establishment requirements.
Founded in 2016 by Andrew Mitchell and Liam Wylie, AL Agri has established a strong reputation for customer service and aftersales support, operating a 24-hour service model during busy periods. The addition of Sky Agriculture further expands a machinery portfolio that has recently grown to include Strautmann and Agrolux products.
Mark Whalley, Team Leader at Sky Agriculture UK, said the appointment represented an important step in the company’s Scottish growth strategy.
“We are delighted to welcome AL Agri to the Sky Agriculture dealer network,” he said. “Their commitment to customer support and strong reputation within the industry make them an ideal partner. By investing in products ranging from the versatile Progress TF front tank through to our X40+ Econov fertiliser spreader, they are ensuring local farmers have access to some of the most advanced crop establishment and spreading technology available.”
Andrew Mitchell, co-founder of AL Agri, added: “We are excited to represent the Sky Agriculture brand in our area. The range offers excellent fertiliser spreading and drilling solutions, including both front-tank and rear-mounted systems, which align closely with the requirements of our customers.”
Farmers and contractors interested in the Sky Agriculture range are encouraged to contact AL Agri for further information and demonstrations.
